Unicorns Because Time Worth Wasting Sometimes

Or because I took time off wrenching got on the net and have a sick fascination with visuals.

Wishing you all a Kick Mother Fucking Ass New Year!

"Well, well, well - what do we have here?" Great words spoken by the "Goose" in Mad Max.

These words rattle around in my head as I trip on down the line that I point my scoot most days. See, in life I was never the one to roll on down the road that was laid out by the man. I always found great adventure in looking off to the side of the road and making my own line.

I always appreciate the fact that most don't mind rolling down the road because while they are, I get to hang out on the knoll hill with the tree unseen by most eyes. For me, it's all about the freedom to enjoy watching. I am forever watching, listening and experiencing my surroundings. I find that my way is shared by a lot of my brothers on bikes. I think this is why I always loved motorcycles and the freedom with which it comes. I also dig the few people in this world who have the same passion I do about motorcycles and the lifestyle.

This past year I got back to wanting to ride with others after taking some time to ride my own line alone and I am glad I did! I made some great friends and found plenty of adventure in 2010.

All these new experiences plus my kick ass wife, my healthy children and family plus a hell of a set of good friends and acquaintances made for a heck of a 2010. Having a fully equipped shop and some bikes doesn't hurt either - hahaa!

Wendy and I wish you all a great New Years Eve and an exciting New Year! See you on the other side

Thursday Dec 30 San Diego's last ride of the year!

It seems that the 2010 is one of those years a lot of people would like to forget. I myself have found the year to be a roller coaster of sorts but one thing has made each week a little easier to swallow and that is our typical Wednesday ride night.

Unfortunately it has been bad weather for the month of December and has turned our roads into rivers so the rides have screeched to a halt. I myself cant go out with out one last 2 wheeled venture so its time to get my kneeze in the breeze and hit the road for one last hurrah!

Keeping it local so we can enjoy some warmth on the trip we will start with getting some fuel for the soul! Our 1st stop will be the Turf Club. This joint is pretty cool and features a cook it yourself grill in the middle of the place. They have steak, chicken and veg. Kabobs for those that dont eat kill. To those I wonder what the hell is wrong with your mouth!

Our second stop will take us for a scoot through Downtown and across Harbor Island to OB. Its a regular on the ride nights Birthday so why not pay respects to Jenn as she gets her fade on. She wont be joining us on the ride but she will be parked on a stool in the joint so OB it is!

Our last stop will shoot us straight down the 8 east to Central San Diego and the Tower Bar. This is a land mark bar with cheap drinks and every time I have been there they have biker movies playing on the projector tv and good tunes! What a better way to rap up this year of ups and downs then with a ride with like minded friends over energy drinks and alcohol.

To the rest of you crazy wrench spinners, bike build man cave hermits and nut bags blasting down tarmac on suicide machines get out and ride! The clocks a ticking...

We meet at Longhorn Diner on Mission Gorge Road in Mission Valley Ca. It is located at the corner of Fiars Road and Mission Gorge behind the Kaiser Hospital. We meet at 5pm and leave promptly at 5:30pm

Adjusting your Primary Chain on the Ironhead/ Sportster

A lot of people are bummed with the worlds economy right now. My opinion is it is making people think and get involved with their own affairs. I always get the hey can you service my primary chain for me my bike is running sloppy.
Now I am getting I wish I had a manual to try and do it on my own. Well now that the rain God is trying to drown us. Go out to your work space and get crackin!

When she 1st came home ....

My brotha from anotha motha has decided to sell the finest example of a airhead I have ever gazed upon. In fact airhead wasnt even in my vocabulary until I laid eyes on this simplistic build done by my buddy Temecula Terry.
Do yourself a favor and go rob a bank because this bike is a steal of the century at this price! Contact Temecula Terry at beerbooters@gmail.com and tell him Rotten sent ya!

 SALE $8500
Engine, year and make, model, modifications:
1973 R60/5 Stock engine, new Mikuni carbs (why do they call Bing carburetors Bing? Because its the sound they make hitting the trash can), air box removed and replaced with K&N's

Frame:
Stock with Por 15 and semi gloss top coat - literally tougher than powder coat.

Fork:
Stock shortened 2"

Chassis mods:
Sub frame shortened and poder coated, reinforced.

Tire/wheel size and style:
Stock / powder coated, new stainless spokes

Electronics:
New Thunderchild Diode board, Dyna III ignition, Brand new Cloth wiring throughout the bike, New Ignition switch -

I left many stock parts, just modded the shit out of them, one thing is for sure, BMW has some pretty nifty stuff that just needs a bit of help to make great. I had a custom Battery tray made from solid billet as well a custom one of a kind tail light. I cut down the handle bar levers and re-shaped them, cut the forks down, rebuilt the wheels, made a custom steering stabilizer, started fresh and re-wired the entire bike to a custom application based off of racing BMW's, Cut the headlight ears down and put a bates headlight can on and replaced the lens with a vintage yellow lamp, Powder Coated almost everything that could be powder coated, Cut down a 30 yr old 2/1 Luftmeister racing exhaust system and place a custom baffle in the muffler, did an antique polish on the engine covers and casted alloy parts that I like to call vintage aviation style and made a custom alloy based seat.

Im sure there is more, just cant remember right now. Bike is available for viewing, dont waste my time, no tire kickers, bring a sixer of Micro beer for wasting my time.
